A J Casson Tea Lake PrintART & ALGONQUIN PARK

Artists have had a long-standing impact on those who have visited Algonquin Park.  By their ability to convey something of Algonquin’s majesty through their artistic expression, artists have inspired people to sojourn to the park from near and far.

It began with Tom Thomson and the iconic Group of Seven and contemporary artists like Tony Bianco, Patricia Pepin and Peter Shultz continue to the present day.  These talented artists and many others display a love of nature and a profound appreciation of the natural world through their awe-inspiring works.

Tom ThomsonAlgonquin Park provides artists of all sorts and of all skill levels with great inspiration for pursuing their art further. To encourage this pursuit, we at the Algonquin Art Centre offer art classes for both children and adults throughout the summer. (see class schedule)

The Gallery Boutique has a range of art supplies available for purchase for anyone who is moved to record the beautiful scenery while visiting the Art Centre.

Artists translate Algonquin Park’s purpose as a place of pleasure and preservation into images which bring joy and inspiration to visitors from around the world.  The Algonquin Art Centre brings people, art and nature together to pay homage to Canada’s natural, artistic and cultural heritage.
